Yeah, I'm a big Whedon fan, but you're right, Dollhouse wasn't his strongest series. I still enjoyed it a lot, but it could have used some tweaking. Okay, a lot of tweaking. But it also takes two to tango--Fox did not support Dollhouse's original concept and it didn't get a lot of advertising. For former was for good reason because it did sound controversial and racy. But putting it in the Friday night "death slot" and not doing a great amount of publicity, I'm not so sure about.
All that aside--opinions, politics, all of that--I'm not out to make any big statement about why Dollhouse should remain on the air, or what went wrong, or how Fox was right, anything like that. Dollhouse is just what it is. And I'm out to make fun of what happened on screen and what happened off screen. Especially off screen because, to me, that's the funniest part. :P
Anyway, I really appreciate your feedback, and I went ahead and added a disclaimer to the post to let everyone know that I'm just making fun of the situation. Thanks again! :Dkaseycleonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15653762218160236621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-109891134026140469.post-24219136032160920292010-02-02T11:29:28.787-06:002010-02-02T11:29:28.787-06:00Wow, I couldn't disagee more. If anything, Fox canceling the show made it better. It lifted the stagnation and slow character development. I know that their is love for Joss, but let's not be blinded by it. They gave it two seasons and Joss failed.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02281180012536846003noreply@blogger.com
